• NHTSA Safety Compliance Consulting & Training
  We assist clients in understanding Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), SAE Recommended Practices, and other compliance standards that apply to vehicle and equipment designs. • New Technology Research and Quarterly Newsletter
  We provide insight into new or proposed rules and regulations for advanced driver assistance systems, automated driving systems, and other emerging technologies. We also offer a flat-rate quarterly newsletter on upcoming regulations and standards.

• Hazard and Trend Analysis
  We have the unique ability to analyze a manufacturer’s data with a similar insight as present-day NHTSA. Observing trends in data helps us recommend the best way to handle potential safety-related issues. Our approach to hazard and trend analysis has the ability to apply to other industries as well. We have even developed a dashboard tool to assist in the collection and analysis of data. • Importation & International Standards
  We routinely work with companies residing outside of the U.S. to assist them in understanding options for vehicle importation, including analysis comparing international standards to FMVSS. We have been recently assisting many new entrants with the temporary importation of ADS-equipped vehicles.

• Part 555 Exemptions & Interpretations

  If you are in need of an interpretation or exemption, our team has the technical expertise to draft the appropriate letter to NHTSA or other relevant agencies.

• Transportation Research and Planning
  We research a variety of transportation planning and safety topics. We have the ability to conduct surveys, perform basic research, and provide strategies to move projects forward. We recently completed a project for the National Park Service to generate a signage and transportation plan for two of their park sites.

• Automotive Industry Services related to the NHTSA TREAD Act
  We provide customer support for understanding and submitting NHTSA early warning reports, as part of the NHTSA TREAD Act Submission requirement. This includes vetting consumer complaints, warranty data field reports, and death and injury data submissions. We also have the capability to submit any recall-related information as a third party, so we would take care of all of the paperwork for you. 

• Audits
  With our past experiences on Monitor Teams, we know how to assess a company’s current processes, roles, and responsibilities and provide recommendations to better streamline their workload and perspective.
